Brian Auger and Julie Driscoll performed together in Steampacket, a band that featured Driscoll, Long John Baldry, and Rod Stewart as its singers. Auger performed prominently around London in this era, appearing often as an uncredited session musician (e.g., harpsichord on the Yardbirds' "For Your Love"). When that band fell apart, Auger formed Trinity with Rick Brown (bass), Mickey Waller (drums), and Vic Briggs (guitar), performing in London's clubs where, among other musicians, Jimi Hendrix made his London debut. In many ways, they were were hip London's house band.

1967
Julie Driscoll began sitting in with Auger and the Trinity.

1968
February. "Save Me"
April. "This Wheel's on Fire" (Bob Dylan and Richard Danko, UK #5) / "A Kind of Love-in" (Marmalade 598 006)
May. Open (LP, UK #12) included another cover that nicely captured the spacey feel of late-sixties psychedelic London. "Season of the Witch." Donovan Leitch had already recorded "Season of the Witch" with Mickie Most; but Driscoll had one of the more popular versions of the song with the emerging American underground stations of the era. Her sinuous vocals contrasted nicely with the jazz edge of Auger and the Trinity.
July. "In and Out" / "Black Cat"
September. "The Road to Cairo" / "Shades of You"

1969
Driscoll left the band during their American tour leaving The Brian Auger Trinity to undergo continuing lineup changes.
