Revolver

Revolver Cover
The Beatles' previous album, Rubber Soul had set the stage for experimentation but, where that album remained rooted in the live concert experience, Revolver moved deeper into the realm of the studio experience. Release on 5 August 1966 as the Beatles prepared for their last tour, Revolver marks the end of the Beatles as a live band. The cover, by their Hamburg friend Klaus Voorman, provided a collage that anticipates the Sgt. Pepper cover.
