Davies and Korner's relationship had always been predicated on their shared interest in the blues. As their blues interests diverged, they quarreled: Korner wanted to include more jazz while Davies wanted to stay true to the Chicago blues he loved. He split with Korner and formed the Rhythm and Blues All Stars. |

For the initial lineup of "The Cyril Davies Blues Band," Davies recruited former members of Screaming Lord Sutch's backing group, the Savages: Carlo Little on drums, Rick Brown (a.k.a. Fenson) on bass and Nicky Hopkins on piano. As in the photo above left, Davies also included performers like John Baldry and other singers.
