The sixteen-year old Steve Winwood demonstrates substantial prowess here as a singer and guitarist. Notable is his vocal doubling of the guitar solo in the coda.

The song was the first release by the Soul Sisters. In the US, the recording appeared on Sue (a short-lived record label). In the UK, Chris Blackwell released it on his Island Records. This is the SDG's second release, but their first success.
