"Gimme Some Lovin'"
Songwriter: Steve Winwood (F. S. Music, Ltd.)
The Spencer Davis Group: Steve Winwood (organ and vocals), Spencer Davis (guitar and backing vocals), Muff Winwood (bass and backing vocals), Peter York (drums).
Produced by Chris Blackwell with Adrian Kerridge, balance engineer at Lansdowne Studios, London. [2:54]
UK release: Fontana TF 762, 28 October 1966. Charts 2 November 1966: RR #2.
US release: United Artists UA 50108, December 1966. BB #7 (February 1967).
The addition of Steve Winwood's Hammond organ to the mix (possibly after hearing the Graham Bond Organization) transmormed the sound of the group. Brother Muff's prominent bass combined with Peter York's minimalist drumming to create one of the most recognizable (and most imitated) grooves in modern popular music.

Text
Well my temperature is rising, got my feet on the floor. Crazy people rocking 'cause they want to go more.
Let me in baby, I don't know what you got; but you better take it easy 'cause this place is hot.
a
And I'm so glad you made it, so glad you made it. You got to gimme some lovin', gimme gimme some lovin'. b
Well I feel so good, everybody's getting high. You better take it easy 'cause the place is on fire.
Been a hard day and I don't know what to do. Wait a minute baby, this could happen to you
c
Well I feel so good, everybody's getting high. You better take it easy 'cause the place is on fire.
Been a hard day, nothing went too good. Now we're gonna relax just like everybody should.
