Notes and Quotes: "Gloria"

This garage band classic (it was covered in the United States by the Shadows of the Knight) was the B side to "Baby Please Don't Go," but was the hit side in the US.

For the most part, the song's appeal is it's simplicity. (It has a single repeating three-chord pattern.) It also features two drum tracks. You can hear the parts that have been added by listening to the different tracks.

Note the presence of Graham and Greenslade who also appear on Kinks recordings.
