"Bad to Me" starts with a classic pop song "verse" introduction and goes on to illustrate many of the stylistic characteristics of 1963 British ("Merseybeat"/"Beat") music. The double-tracking of the voice, the doubling of the piano and guitar, and the linking of the bass and the drum parts are all typical of the era.
