Baggott, Cash, and Freeman form a skiffle group, The Crestas. They all come from the same scout troupe.
 
1961
Davies joins. The band largely plays instrumentals.
 
1962
Gould joins the instrumental band. First change their name to The Jaguars and then to The Applejacks.
 
1963
Jackson joins as singer and the band gets a contract with Decca.
 
1964
February. "Tell Me When" (Les Reed and Geoff Stephens) Decca F 11833 released. Charts 5 March, UK #7.
11 June. "Like Dreamers Do" (John Lennon and Paul McCartney). Decca F 11916, charts, UK #20.
15 October. "Three Little Words (I Love You)" (?). Decca F 11981 charts, UK #23.
"Bye Bye Girl." No chart action.
 
1965
27 August. "I Go to Sleep" (Ray Davies). No chart action.
