1931 Santa Ana, California: Adolph Rickenbacher and George Beauchamp found the Electro String Instrument Corporation to produced Beauchamp's "Hawaiian" guitars. They call the brand, "Rickenbacher" (later changing it to "Rickenbacker") and produce the first guitars with magnetic pickups.
